The aim of the Local History Group is to research, preserve and educate about the history of Minchinhampton and the surrounding area.
The following information will be updated with new information in the near future.
Talks were held regularly throughout the year at “The Hub” in Tobacconist Road. During the summer there were visits or walks and the new committee are hoping to restart Talks , Walks , and exhibitions locally ,again like 2022 / 2023 using the Market House and other local locations .
Meetings were well attended, by both members and guests, The meetings will resume and will be mentioned on the Website front page, on our face book group, and posted in the notice boards around town .
For those who wish to do their own research there is a Local History Collection, held in the basement of the Trap House, by kind permission of Minchinhampton Parish Council. Please note the collections are being sorted and being put on a database , also some are being posted on our Facebook group.
The Group still participates in exhibitions organised by the Five Valleys Local History Association
